We just finished a home in North Richland Hills for a beautiful family. They just moved into their new home and they were having trouble making it feel like home. We came with a lot of new accessories, rugs, lighting and artwork to complete the home, using the things they had already!
BEFORE
Nothing seemed to work as well as it did in their old home. They were feeling frustrated with the scale of their existing items and needed assistance with the details.
Of course, making a house feel like home is my specialty. We created an inviting entry with a narrow console table and layered the entry with a rustic mirror and some baskets. We chose a narrow console table, so it wouldn’t interfere with the door opening. We added a blue and white runner and now it feels relaxed, casual and inviting.

The client decided the didn’t want to have a formal dining room because they have an informal one in their kitchen. We transformed this room into a sitting room for the family to relax, spend time together or work on their laptops.
We added a gorgeous vintage rug that is muted so the artwork and other items in the room could be showcased. The spindle chairs look great paired together with two ottomans. The client will eventually add draperies to this room, but for now it is complete.
We changed out the hardware on the buffet to match the mercury lamps that we provided. It immediately updated the buffet and made it look more stylish and chic.
Transitional artwork makes this room feel fun and lively. We stacked old books with pottery and misc. accessories to create interest in this room. Layering accessories on a buffet always looks interesting and fun.
We were even able to incorporate some of their family pottery which I love!
In the main family room, we kept the club chair and the sectional that they had but just decorated it for them. We added a console table and some botanical artwork. Colorful lamps and accessories on top of the console as well as underneath, really made this wall look amazing.
Just by adding a pillow to this club chair, it immediately feels like it belongs in the room now.
We added a rug and draperies which took away the echo in the home!
We used some of the existing artwork the client had to finish off the family room.
Added some textured stools for extra seating and the room came together beautifully.
The draperies really made a dramatic impact in the room and coordinate nicely with all the new pillows we added to the sectional.
