We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
It was a refreshing week after a really hard few weeks. We lost my Father-in-law to cancer. He struggled with a brain tumor for 25 years and it finally took his life after a few weeks of being in and out of the hospital. We are so glad he is no longer suffering and is home where he will be rewarded for the wonderful life he lived. He and his wife and 4 sons served as Missionaries in Papua New Guinea for 18 years of their lives. He has left a legacy and taught us so much about being faithful and steadfast in the tough times. We love you Far Far!
Getting away with family was perfect timing after his memorial service.
This was my view all week!
Gulf Shores has incredible beaches and the surf was amazing. Hearing the sounds of the waves crashing into shore was good therapy for my soul.
Time with family is always so rich and rewarding. I don't take this time for granted.
The girls loved riding the waves! I did the same and there is something magical about rolling around in a great big wave to shore. It made me feel like a kid again and put me into vacation mode.
I loved watching relationships grow with cousins. This did my heart good.
We even got to witness a wedding on the beach which was like watching a fairy tale.
Barefoot, relaxed and ready to start a new life together!
It was a very overcast day and beautifully mysterious!
So Romantic.
I'm feeling refreshed and ready to get back to work. I've though a lot about what kind of legacy I'm going to leave in this life. I want to live life to the fullest and live in the moment, enjoying the blessings of family and friends that I'm surrounded with.
I'm working on a project that I'll finish next week. Decorating a dining room, formal living room, pool room and master bedroom. It will be a two day install and I can't wait!
I'll post before and after pictures when I'm finished.
Thank you to all of you who have encouraged me over the past few weeks during our loss of Far Far. I appreciate my blogger friends so much!
